Ezekiel Biography
Before falling in love with techno he started as one of the first digital DJs back in the late 90s when he took his entire desktop computer to the club, fascinating his audience with this new media. At that time, he was still a punk rock DJ until 2014 when he finally fell in love with Techno and he played his first Techno set ever.
With his selection of driving techno beats and his empathy for the audience, he captivates everyone in the room. No matter how strong the beats he plays are, he always keeps an essential melodic touch to his sets which binds his audience to the dance floor.
In 2020 Ezekiel released his first track. Unlike many others he approaches his production from another conceptional angle as he melts his autobiography experiences and observations down into his massive brutal uncompromising melodic musical interpretation of our Zeitgeist with his tracks.
His four most recent releases and at the same time his first ones in the field of hard techno all made it onto the Beatport Hard Techno Top20 charts. His track “Fuck machine” even made it to number one for almost two weeks! Additionally, his tracks charted with Apple Music all around the world e.g. his current track “Pride” charted in 45 countries of which he hit a Top 20 spot with 18 of them!
Musically, Ezekiel combines his conceptual sound and approach with inspiration from a vast variety of sounds from Melo to Acid Techno and even industrial vibes to give his world of sound the uniqueness he always strives for.
His reputation within the scene enabled him to establish his own yearly electronic music indoor festival at the iconic Odonien venue (Cologne) which presented over 50 acts the last time in 2020 before Corona struck and which continued in 2023 as an two day event.
Currently he is starting the new Sentiment label alongside Jens Lissat which will mainly feature fast paced hard and industrial techno approaches. The label is set to start operations Sep/Oct 2022. Ezekiel’s track “obey the system” was the labels first release on Nov 21st 2022.
